Common questions

How do I scan a meal?

Tap the + button at the bottom of the home screen, then Scan Meal. Frame the dish inside the white corner brackets and tap the shutter. ReciSnap identifies the dish and macros in a few seconds.

Can I import from Instagram, TikTok, or Pinterest?

Yes. Use Browser, Paste Text, or the iOS share sheet. Paste any link and ReciSnap will parse the recipe.

How is my data stored?

Your cookbooks, meal plan, and grocery list live on your device. The AI scanning API key, if you add one, is stored encrypted in the iOS Keychain. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → ReciSnap → Cancel Subscription. You keep access to ReciSnap Plus until the end of the current period.

The AI scan is giving wrong macros.

AI estimates are exactly that — estimates. Tap any ingredient in the scan result to correct its name, amount, or macros, and the totals will recalculate. For exact values, scan a barcode (when available) or enter ingredients manually.
